Right from sports to recreation to retail to residential comforts and dining, DSC is always bustling with life and exudes a spirit of healthy competition for all those who are up for a game. ‘Sports Village’ within the DSC gives it a sporty appeal, as it is an ultimate destination for sports enthusiasts, fans, athletes, fitness junkies and even for families who want to lead an active lifestyle. 

The Sports Arena at the Sports Village is built to target a number of sports like football, cricket, basketball, tennis and the list goes on. The world’s most popular game in the world ‘football’ is a hot favorite amongst Arab locals and an obsession with the expats who work in Dubai. DSC features not one, not two but three full-size football fields and pitches making plenty of provisions to accommodate all football lovers. The full-sized indoor Football pitch comes with FIFA 2-star approved competition turf to ensure that the sport is practiced all year round.

The other two full-size outdoor pitches accommodate variety of leagues and programs that are held here. DSC’s calendar is chock-a-blocked with various sports events, including football junior and adult leagues to encourage participation in this game. A professional International Spanish Coaching is conducted at the DSC and as many as 700 children between ages 5 to 16 years get to score their first goals on the DSC pitch. The governing body of the world cricket, The International Cricket Council (ICC), moved its headquarters to DSC in 2009 to cater to the growing demand for cricket in this region and to oversee other 106 member countries. DSC makes provisions for two full-sized state-of-the-art one-day international floodlit ovals alongside the ICC Academy’s headquarters.

The indoor and outdoor training pitches offer, different technologies for bowlers and batsmen to improve their game. Moreover, DSC Training Complex is the only place in the world that offers South Asian, English and Australian practice turfs. DSC does not limit itself to only football and cricket, but also encourages other sports like basketball, rugby, tennis and an Olympic level running track at its ‘Sports Park’. The Els Club is yet another attraction at the DSC, a golfing arcade along with an elite 60,000 square-foot clubhouse designed for the who’s who of Dubai.
